SEVEN MESMERIZING MARVELS

    One of the project of Udayachal High School for International School Awards is Seven Mesmerizing Marvels i.e. Seven Wonders of the World where we study seven wonders of the world namely Taj Mahal from India, The Great Wall Of China, Machu Picchu from Peru, Chichen Itza from Mexico, Colosseum from Rome, Christ- the Redeemer from Brazil and Petra from Jordan. We also study historical and cultural importance of these wonders.

    At the end of this project, the students will be aware of the New Seven Wonders of the World and their architectural grandeur. They would also understand the historical and cultural significance. They will also understand in the terms of tourism and heritage conservation.

     To achieve this learning outcome students collected all relevant information on Seven Wonders of The World and had organized an exhibition for other students. They displayed all their cover pages, their project books, paintings, pop ups and spoke up for those wonders in the class. They also shared the information with peer reviews. Students were also asked to preserve these wonders by focusing on the importance of heritage conservation. Students made presentations and collected videos which showcased its architectural grandeur and beauty of those wonders. They had questionnaires, quiz and elocution competitions and winners were given momentos.

     It also has an online collaborative project where partner school is supposed to have a virtual tour on seven Wonders of the World and we are expected to share information through blogs, mails and social networking sites .

     This project will not only make our students aware about new seven wonders but even this may develop an interest in the minds of students abroad. This project will cover the studies of countries like Egypt, India, Jordan, Chile, Peru, Brazil and Mexico.
